Dina TELEVITSKAYA*
Hi, dear friends!
Since 1991, I teach at the 441 School of St. Petersburg,
Russia. I teach to children from 8 -16 years old to
write poetry and prose. My optional course has name:
"Literary Creativity".
Also I am the principal of literary studio and the 441
School's Literary Club.
The literary studio has name " Scarlet sail Kupchino",
and unites young authors of 12-22 years.
Our school literary club unites children of 8-16 years.
It works well because we get support and the great help
from the principal and director of the 441 school of
Galina Pavlovna Oparina.

Our literary club has name "Ugly Duckling"-
because we hope our young poets, also will become by
fine literary swans similarly to a small swan from fairy
tale of Great Andersen in the near future.
We have already achieved some success and recognition.
Some of the members works of the school club and literary
studio had received coverage on city and Russian radio
many times, have been published in some newspapers and
magazines, and the works of members of our clubs have
been highly appreciated at some literary competitions,
tournaments, and Olympiads.
In 2001, 2003, and 2004, works of my pupils got published
in books with the help of Department of Education of
the Phrunzenskogo district of our city.
These books contains publicistic writing, journalism,
poetry, prose and humour.
In these books, our young authors-children wrote about
nature, problems of war and peace, and about the life
of modern school-children from St.Petersburg in Russia.
These books represent sincerely senses of our children.
There are their thoughts, their joys and sorrows, their
inner light and their beautiful dreams, their love and
friendship in these books as well as and their hard
times, difficult problems, worries, etc...
These books are a collections of creative works of the
kids just from one district of Russia's "Northern
Capital" - of St.Petersburg.
I have had the honor to be editor, by chief and by illustrator
of these books.
I want to reach out more, and expand their works to
a much more wider readers as much as I can.

I want to show life of Russian children through pages
of their creative works, of our books.
Therefore, I'd like to present some of works of my pupils
for the Light Millennium's "Children of the World"
dedication issue as well as for its global readers.
My best regards, love & blessing to you all,
dear friends!
