All
We Want is Peace

If
one man shot another man what good comes from
that?
Does that shot give food to a hungry man, across
the world?
Does it give a safe home for a family who is in
danger?
Does it put clothes on the back of a cold, hungry
child?
Can it give a poor man the same sense of pride
as a rich man?
Does it allow us to live together as a whole instead
of lightning as individuals.
Can one bullet make two enemies put aside there
differences?
Can it give a poor man with a family to support
and no job a feeling of importance?
Can that one bullet give a child born into poverty
a future?
Can it stop the same thing from happening two
miles away?
Does it stop, do or help anything at all.
No, it doesn’t.
So remember all of you politicians and soldiers,
we don’t want your guns, tanks or wars,
all we want is PEACE.

Friends
Azra YÜCEL
Amity School Grade 4
My best friend, my best bud,
That's what you'll always be to me.
We might fight, we might get mad,
But remember I am always glad to be your
friend.
Sometimes I don't understand why we fight,
Sometimes I don't know what to do,
But remember that I will always, but always
Be able to forgive you!

Betul KALKAN
Amity School
Sometimes I wonder.
What
I would do if my friends weren't here.
They
helped me, and cared for me,
when my parents weren't there.
It's
going to be a very hard time for me to leave them.
I'll
probably cry, or say bye,
I
went through this before and my friends cried,
the tears on their faces say bye.
It
was hard for me,
I thought I wasn't going to make new friends,
but I was wrong.
Look
at me now,
I have many new friends who care and support me.
I
have a class which is wild, but friendly.
Thinking they're the best, but to me they are.

Let us come up with a solution!
May be make a peace institution.
For the love of humanity.

Fine
Day
Nilsu DEMIRCI
Amity School
It is a very fine day,
The horses eat the hay.
But when it comes to pay,
They don't eat everyday.
When the children play,
Everybody builds up the clay.
But the horses eat hay
and there is no more clay.
Some people come today,
Like its their day.
People don't like to lay,
But they have to play.
The very big day
Has come today.
But the good luck is
You don't have to pay.

Future

Esma BATCA
Pioneer

Future will Come
Future is the future,
Past is the past,
We should all focus on the present,
And try to make it last.
Whatever is going to happen tomorrow,
Whatever happened today,
We are the future,
So get out of our way!
You might want to deny it,
You might want the present to stay,
But the future is coming closer,
We will lead the way!

The
Meaning of Friendship
Ayçin
AKTAS
Amity
School
I
stand there, watching my friend,
I
know she is the one who cares,
I know where to go when I live a
Heartbreak,
I know where to go when I'm in trouble.
I
may not always see my friend, but I always know
she's there.
She is the sister I never had, my one and only
reason to stay sane.
It's an unsinkable friendship, the friendship
between her and I.
We laugh together, and we cry together, she teaches
me the lesson of life,
and my face starts to glow.
She
could read my mind, and finish my sentences, she
is the only one I could look up to.
My friend is the other half of me, for when I
give up on my dreams, she shows
me that friendship is real.
We
cry tears, but our laughter drowns them out.
When
I give her a smile, and she gives me a laugh,
our happiness rises and
Our sadness falls with all of the jokes that fill
the room and go right through
My young soul.
I truly mean it when I laugh with her, because
she accepts me for who I am.
My friend, to me, is like an angel, but she is
missing her wings, and she
Makes me wonder if she is lost in this world because
heaven is a long way from here.
My
friend teaches me the meaning of friendship, and
of life, these are thing
Only a best friend can understand.
I wish I could see her all the time, I wish her
smile is on, all her life.
It's sad to think some day we will be apart,
But as long as the stars shine in the starry night,
our friendship will shine in my
heart.

There's blood on the ground,
Flowing
like a stream
There are shards of glass on the floor,
Shinning like diamonds.
There's a burnt match on the floor,
What they used to light up the bomb,
There's too much for humanity to bear.

In
the Future

In the future it will all be different
Blowing trees yellow bright daffodils
Shining to the Sun
Oh, the future when will you come,
It's not fun and games in the future,
More technology means more work
Metal arms walking in the streets
Don't feel, don't care
Oh, the future when will you come
The future might not be a pretty place
It could be harsh it could be pleasant
You probably think this could be unyielding
Oh, the future when will you come.

When Peace Comes Event continues...
