Attendance taken by Mr. Dede.

Founder Ms. Unver made the opening remarks and went over the minutes
of the last meeting. Minutes were approved. (Between October
19, 2001 and November 16, 2002, the Light Millennium (
“LM”)board has meet fifth times including
the annual general meeting.)

Ms. Unver briefly went over past year’s accomplishments.
She added that the “Annual Report 2002” document
(handed out at the meeting as a working report) will be
made available on the website.

Ms. Unver addressed questions of the board members in regards to
the briefing she made. More specifically she talked about
the mission of the organization, corporation laws, editorial,
content-selection, and fundraising events.

Ms. Unver announced that the Light Millennium will organize a poetry
night tentatively titled as “ A Poetry Night: On
Peace & Woman” under the sponsorship of the
Turkish American Federation. This event will take place
on April 24, 2003, as part of the Turkish Cultural Festival.

According to the order of business the LM election for the 2002
– 2003 term was made. The new officers are as following:
President: Ms. Bircan Unver
Vice President: Mr. Mehmet Uca
General Secretary: Mr. Mehmet Dede
Treasurer: Ms. Buket Sahin
Board Members: Ms. Julie Mardin, Burak
Akten, Mr. Huseyin Unver, Mr. Joe Lamb, Ms. Cigdem Acar
