Hair
by
Genco Gulan

My hair grows every
day. And every day,
I have to make a decision to cut or not to cut my hair.
In biology growth is not a continuos process.
Every organism grows to a limit.
Every specie grows in numbers within a limit.
Only the human population grows unlimited.
And when the growth is
out of control it is a "cancer".
My hair grows every
day.
I do not grow every day but my hair does.
The body of the hair is
not a living organism.
There are living cells as the roots in the skin
But the big long dead body composed of dead cells.
The hair gets longer as the sells in the skin die, More and more.
I was also growing
when I was younger.
But when I was younger they did not let me to grow hair in the school.
Still my body grew.
My mind grew longer as a resistance.
Human growth is more organic.
It stops at a certain age.
My hair grows every
day. And every day,
I have to make a decision to cut or not to cut
my hair.
The problem is, I am not free in this decision;
Like many other decisions.
Our social environment effects our decision.
In the school they force me to cut my hair.
In the family they force me to cut my hair.
In the military they force me to cut my hair.
In the business they force me to cut my hair.
In the family they force me to cut my hair.
I hate to be cut.
The hair grows organically
but cut socially.|
The decision itself, to cut or not to cut the hair is cultural and political.
Even choosing not to do anything in an ongoing
process
has a political reference.
My hair grows every day.
And every day, a conscious mind needs to make
decisions.
To cut or not to cut your hair, that is the problem.
The hair is the identity.
My hair grows every
day.
And I have the chance to change my identity every day.
And I have the chance not to change my identity
every day.
They did not let me to grow a long hair in the
school
still my brain grew longer
as a resistance.
Cutting hair in the
school is a part of producing prototype students.
Cutting hair in the family is a part of producing
prototype members.
Cutting hair in the military is a part of producing
prototype soldiers.
I hate being prototype.
Still,
You have the chance to show that you are different and
You have the chance not to show that you are different.
My hair grows every day but
I do not like to show off
Still,
I have the chance to show off my brain,
I have the chance not to show off my brain,|
My decision or non-decision
effected my life,
And your decision or non-decision may effect your lifeÉ
On the world, they
still treat people differently just because of their hair styles.
In some countries, they throw you to prison or
kill you just because of your hair.
Still what ever your decision
is
Your hair will continue to grow,
And you will have the
option to cut or not to cut it every day.
Till you dieÉ
