The television program, Millennium of Dance was produced from
New York Turkish MayFest-2000Õs
opening performance with the same title.
The selected dances are in the program: HIP-HOP(Street Dance), Modern
Ballet, Tango, Swing, Cha-Cha(Paso Doble), Spanish Veils, African Djembe,
Turkish Folk Dance (Silifke) and Ancient Egyptian. Thus, ÒMillennium
of DanceÓ program represents a selection of the original performance
in order to reach much more wider and various communities and sharing
its great joy and energy with you.
The event was produced by Nese Onal and Tendu Yogurtcu. New York Turkish
MayFest-2000 was organized by Nur Emirgil. The Millennium of Dance
video program was produced in August 2000 through Queens Public Television,
Flushing facilities.
