PROJECT TITLE:

The LIGHT MILLENNIUM

A GLOBAL QUEST

FOR THE THIRD MILLENNIUM

HISTORY

This section will examine events and experiences with a focus on
continuity between past, present and future.

Among other topics, contributors will be encouraged to examine how
we "package" events to make them and our world more understandable.

As finite beings, clearly we cannot understand and address "everything"
involved in an event. Yet in deciding what is "relevant" in order to clarify
events, do we unnecessarily reproduce our own limitations and bypass
opportunities for learning? Is our process of interpreting events a quest
not only for truth, but also for cummunity/solidarity? Is this a tradeoff?

If so, what is lost and what is gained in following one of these objectives
more than the other? How can we bring a more productive and fair future
through reinterpreting our past and present? Your essays, critiques, poems
and artworks will help us to address these and other historical questions,
particularly in linking ourselves and our ancestors to the Light Millennium.
