The program MayFest'99 profiles some of the major events from New York Turkish May Festival, with an insightful interview with Turkish-American Women Alliance (TAWA) President, and MayFest'99 producer's Nur Emirgil. In the program, Emirgil explores who was behind the festival, what made it possible, and who the supporters were, as well as what the expectations for the future were.

The program will take you to the MayFest'99 as well as highlighting the festival events and concept. The scenes are from YENI TURKU'S CONCERT, the OPENING RECEPTION, VIDEO and CONTEMPORARY MUSIC PROGRAM, JAZZ BRUNCH, HOY-TUR, and GULER UGUR's "RED WOMEN" photography exhibit. Bu sure to watch the program, which is very rich and enlightening on the subject of Turkish Culture.
