GEORGE STATHOS: Performing on Ney and Clarinet. George has performed throughout
the U.S., Canada, Germany and Greece.He has performed with Ali Erkose,
of the famous "Erkose Brothers" from Turkey. His recordings
include Schanachie Records with Anna Bouboula, USA, 1991, BMG 1993,
EMI 1994, "Pix Lax" in Greece 1995. His performances include
Dave Sanborn's "Late Night Music" NBC, and "LaMama Experimental
Music and Theater", with Ross Daley-1996. George's own fusion group
perform regularly at major NYC clubs. JUAN M. TAVERAS: Violin He was born in the Dominican
Republic on February 04, 1944. He had been a member of the natioal
symphonic orchestra in Santa Domingo, as well as a solist with the orchestra
of Santa Domingo and he has given recitals for violin and piano ain
several countries. At the present he is living in Queens, New York where he teaches the violin. Contact :

Guitar SCOTT WILSON: Oud ASCAP, born in NYC, son of the famous Mid-East dancer Serena, grew up immersed in the very best of the music of Turkey, Greeece, Armenia, Egypt, and Israel.Scott started playing the oud and singing in 1968, and is presently studying Turkish at NYU. Having studied classical Turkish
music, Scott gave tree benefit concerts in 1999 in conjuction with the
Turkish Consolate and the Turkish-American Women's Alliance to raise
funds for the earthquake victims in Turkey. Scott performs every Sunday night at "Cafe Figaro" 8-10pm on Bleeker and McDougal St. |
