Emre KONUK

Emre Konuk was born in Bursa, Turkey in 1946. He graduated from Istanbul University, Psychology Department. He received his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Bosphorus University. Between

1982-1983 he attended courses, training programs and seminars the Mental Research Institute, Palo Alto. During this period he also participated in training programs in Princeton Biofeedback Research Institute and Clinic, International Electrotherapy Institute, Transforming and Transactions, Berkeley, California.

He established Davranis Bilimleri Enstitüsü (The Institute for Behavioral Studies) in 1985 to provide pscyhological services, research and training to individuals and organizations.

He worked as the president of Turkish Psychologists Association, Istanbul between the dates of 1998-2000.

As a therapist he is oriented in strategic brief therapy, cognitive-behavior therapy and EMDR. He usually works on change in individuals, couples, families, organisations. He is specificially interested in anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual abuse. He also provides supervision and consultancy for individuals and organisations.
