Capital
Astana is one of the fastest growing capitals of the world recognized by the “UNESCO Cities for Peace Prize”” in 1999. Astana is the capital with the youngest population in the world, with an average of just 33 in 2016. Astana hosts the international Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017. The first in the Central Asia region.

Kazakhstan: 25 Milestones of Independence
Territory
Transcontinental state, the 9th largest country in the world (2.7 m km2). Major overland trade routes from Europe to Asia lie through the territory of the republic since the days of the Great Silk Road. Kazakhstan shares its longest borders with Russia and China, how o the five BRICS countries.
Population
Over 17 million people more than 100 ethnic groups. Kazakh is the state language. Among state organizations and local authorities, Russian is used along with the Kazakh language.
Policy
Kazakhstan is a unitary state with a presidential form of government. On December 16, 1991 Kazakhstan resigned from the Soviet Union and declared its sovereignty Kazakhstan has membership in the regional and international organizations:
UN (1992). SCO (2001). OSCE (1992). CIS (1991). CSTO (1992). OIC (1995).
Economy
Kazakhstan is one of the leading oil-producing countries in the world with an annual output of over 80 million tons of oil and gas condensate. Bowels of the land of Kazakhstan have considerable natural resources. Kazakhstan come close to the developed countries by the production level of natural resources. But the top priority for long-term development of the republic is natural resource conservation and sustainability of the environment. EXPO 2017 enables Kazakhstan and the whole world to accelerate the transition from traditional carbon-based energy to low-carbon energy technologies and alternative sources.

Water Use
Rainwater harvesting will be carried out with the help of special surfaces. Rainwater will be used as a service water: for cleaning premises, watering the territory, washing cars and ensuring fire safety at facilities.
Reducing Consumption
“Smart” meters of light, water and heat flow. Advanced remote control systems, providing and opportunity of on-line automatic interference into distributing systems.
Waste Management
Installing vacuum system of waste collection with waste segregation function. The aim is to ensure zero adverse effect on EXPO-2017 site and facilities.

HE Aghsin Mehdiyev, Observer for Organization of Islamic Cooperation, HE Einar Gunnarsson, Ambassador of Iceland, Permanent Representative to the UN;
HE Mrs Katalin Bogyay, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Hungary;
HE Ms. Kunzang C Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan, Permanent Representative to the UN;
HE Mr. Tete Antonio, Permanent Observer of African Union to the UN;
HE Mr. Andrianarivelo-Razafy, Permanent Representative of Madagascar to UN;
HE Riyad Mansour, Ambassador of Palestine to the UN;

Along with a wonderful photo exhibit from Kazakhstan and "25 Milestones of Kazakhstan", musical performances by tenor and soprano(Mazina Putuntica) along with instrumental music including Kazakhs songs and some of the timeless songs performed during the 25th Anniversary Celebration event and well received by the guests.
Committed goals of Kazakhstan to the United Nations such as "Food Security", "Water Security", "Energy Security", "International Day for Against Nuclear Tests" were also exhibited. These goals were also core message of H.E. Mr. Abdrakhmanov's delivered 25th Anniversary statement.
Various books and catalogues on Kazakshtan were exhibited and provided to the guests as a take away.
