The Light Millennium TV - 2016 Schedule
There have been some improvements in social conditions, education access and development goals since the Millennium Development Declaration in 2000. At the same time, we have entered much more challenging and harsh times, with new and ongoing conflicts, in some countries we see escalating economic and social inequality, and escalating despair.
At this critical point, taking the 2015 United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”) for 2030 as an inspiration point, we would like to invite you to a new open and multi-participatory studio-shooting project in order to present your DREAMS FOR HUMANITY on camera at the QPTV Studio for the LMTV’s 16nd Anniversary. LMTV has been one of the core initiatives of The Light Millennium organization along with its e-publications and various events. Initially, January 13, 2000 was the public launching date of The Light Millennium Television Series - LMTV at QPTV studio with a special screening of the following program: “On the Twentieth Century: NAZIM HIKMET” (https://vimeo.com/49648471) in Flushing, New York, which also had shown follow by in the same month on QPTV’s channels on Jan. 17 and 20 of 2000 as well. Through the DREAMS FOR HUMANITY – 2016 television project, the LMTV aims to produce this
concept on an annual or semi-annual basis to inspire, motivate, encourage and promote active participation, and moreover, stir our dreams and imaginations towards greater awareness and to activate our collective consciousness.
All the greatest as well as the worst things in the world have emerged from a spark of ideas, inspiration, dreams or visions in the minds of mankind, ever since the dawn of our species. And so we invite you to present your constructive and visionary DREAM(s) for HUMANITY for 2016 whether it is based on your own work or idea or another's inspiration or it is related with the UN SDGs. These thoughts will also represent how you see and hope for yourself, which can then translate to the global scale of your dream as a member of the Human Family.
